5/19/13 May Key Largo Tarpon Fishing Report

The  may key largo tarpon fishing has been very good. Lots of fish still being caught and bait has been around for the most party. Today we caught and released 2 big local key largo tarpon on fresh live mullet. The past few days the bait was a little tougher to come by but still had our shots at a tarpon yesterday we lost.

Caught them the last few nights as well that I fished, and had multi-fish most every day a the last couple weeks. We saw plenty of fish today and around the bridges and after the busy weekend I think they will start biting better. The fishing with crabs especially early in the morning, in the evening, and on the later afternoon falling tides should get real good.

This is the time of year when key largo fishing in may for tarpon is good with crabs.
